How to Lanolize Wool
How To Lanolize Wool: 1. Melt at least 1/4 inch of Lansinoh Lanolin in hot water. Add recommended amount of wool soap (anything but woolite, I use Eucalan) to the hot water. Mix to break up and mix in the Lanolin. 2. Fill sink. (I like to use a bucket for easier clean up) The water should be room temperature. 3. Place the wool in sink and gently push cover under the water. Let it soak for about 15 minutes. 4. After soaking, gently squeeze excess water out, then roll it between two towels to get even more moisture out. 5.Let it dry for about 24 hours. By following this procedure your wool items will be clean, soft, and water resistant. Lanolizing is great for making wool diaper covers, scarves, wool snow pants, coats, or any of your other wool crafts!
