Why Cloth Diapering is Cool
Did you know that diapering baby butts can be fun? With today's cloth diapers it can be! They aren't the awkward pin-stickin' kind that your grandma used to use anymore! They are easy to use, saves money, and most importantly, they are the most eco-friendly option for diapering! Here is a rundown of the most commonly used types of cloth diapers: AIO (All in One) - These diapers look just like disposables, only they are reuseable! Just put one on baby and when they have used it (ewwww!) toss it in the diaper pail to be laundered later! Prefitted Diapers with Covers - These cloth diapers are contoured to fit baby's rump and are generally secured with snaps or velcro. They are made from super absorbable cotton, terry cloth, or hemp. They do require a seperate water resistant cover. Prefold Diapers with Covers - These are what I use at home because they are the cheapest option for cloth diapers. They are shaped like a rectangle and have an extra absorbant panel in the middle. They are secured to baby using a Snappi (the very best cloth diapering invention) and also require a seperate water resistant cover. Cloth diapers can be embellished and colorful, making your baby a super cool fashion trend setter!
